We’ve all heard someone joke that the best profession for them would be as a chief chocolate taster at the chocolate factory, but what if cheese is actually your thing?
How about a job as cheese babysitter? You’d be tasked with a whole list of cheese responsibilities such as tasting, grading and brushing their teeth before reading them a bedtime story, ok, the last one is lie - everyone know’s cheese doesn’t sleep.
It sounds totally mad but this is actually a real job and the lucky man given the responsibility is Craig Gile who works for Cabot Creamery in Vermont.
Working to grade all the cheeses as mild or sharp, he says he sometimes tastes up to 200 different cheese samples in a single day, hell for some, heaven for others.
