Building on these traditions the designers at We Make Carpets have added an extra touch of magic to their carpets by crafting them from ordinary kitchen objects like chocolate bars, sprinkles, matchsticks, spices, cocktail umbrellas, disposable forks and even bottles.
Marcia Nolte, Stijn van der Vleuten and Bob Waardenburg are the talented trio behind this innovative design. Their work has been exhibited around the world and although the carpets are temporary they are a stunning work of food art.
