Scientists in New Zealand have began examining a colossal squid found last year in New Zealand said to be one of the largest ever found in the world.
Well over 100,000 people tuned into a live stream as scientists led by Auckland University of Technology began their examination.
The female squid weighs a massive 350 kilograms (770 pounds) and is a long as a car - it was previously frozen for eight months before scientists started their work.
Scientists were all extremely excited at the prospect saying it’s a very rare occurrence to have such a large specific completely intact.
The new squid on the block is certainly impressive to look at but one can't help but wonder just how much calamari it could make.
