From chef demos, drink parties, restaurants galore and more, the Aspen Food and Wine Classic 2014 sponsored by S.Pellegrino, was two days and nights packed with tasty food events, celebrity chefs and dishes as far as the eye could see.
Here’s a quick round up of some of the stories to come out of Aspen from the event.
Megan Barber from Ski.curbed has collected her 12 best things from Aspen Food and Wine with mini iberico pork burgers with piquillo peppers, alioli and iberico bacon from José Andrés and a taste of Suerte Tequila some of her highlights.
John Colson at the Denvor iJournal wrote an extensive report from the festival starting on a talk about how the bar can be used to drive business. The talk looked at changing drinking habits, how signature cocktails are on the rise and how women are drinking whiskey.
The Denver Magazine have a nice collection of outtakes from the festival, a small collection of quotes direct from the festival. Favorite has to be, "Through food I learned languages and all my sensibilities...and it's taken me all over the world,”from Marcus Samuelsson.
Business Inside have gone straight for the prize with a post that shows just how much food was on offer throughout the festival. Big fresh bowls of strawberry, healthy burgers, chickpea pretzels and juicy pulled pork, a great collection of pictures sure to make you hungry.
