If your summer travels include a visit to Miami, be sure to hit up some of the restaurants on Zagat's list of the 10 Hottest New Restaurants in the city.
Zagat's picks include the much-hyped restaurant La Mar by Gaston Acurio, a ceviche bar that opened earlier this year at the lush Mandarin Orienta hotel in scenic Brickell Key. The restaurant is manned by award-winning chef Diego Oka, who hails from Peru and has worked for Acurio for over a decade.
When you've had your fill of ceviche and nothing but a burger will do, head on over to Kush Wynwood. Zagat raves about the restaurant's "exclusive tap brews, New American pub grub and brownies served with a provocative bag of 'greens'."
Another great spot in the Wynwood neighborhood is Shikany, which serves innovative global cuisine and will soon have a culinary test kitchen for cooking classes and wine tastings.
