The announcement of Asia's 50 Best Restaurants List for 2014, sponsored by S.Pellegrino and Acqua Panna, is coming on February 24th and the excitement is beginning to build as we wait to find out who will be crowned Asia's best restaurant.
On top of the ceremony taking place at the Marina Sands Bay in Singapore, there will be two days of forums and workshops taking place from February 23rd with presentations by some of the world's best chefs including: Bjorn Frantzen, Joan Roca, David Thompson, Ben Shewry, Manish Mehrotra (seen above) Alvin Leung and Andre Chiang, to name just a few.
The forum will focus on The Future of Food with discussions centered on: The RIse of the Vegetable, Authenticity and Interpretation and The Rise of the Celebrity Chef. Chef Yoshiro Narisawa from Narisawa in Tokyo, picked as the the S.Pellegrino Best Restaurant in Asia 2013, will present on the challenges he faces in trying to maintain a green restaurant in a place like Tokyo.
Fine Dining Lovers will be attending the events and tweeting live throughout the days. We'll also be bringing you round ups each day and all the action from direct from the ceremony.
If you're in the area and want to attend, tickets can still be purchased through Asia's 50 Best Restaurants website, although it seems that a number of presentations have now sold out.
