The Berlinale film festival, held in Berlin February 9th - 14th, will this year play host to a number of chefs and films that focus on food.
The Culinary Cinema at the Martin-Gropius-Bau theatre will screen around fifteen food films followed by meals inspired by the films prepared by some of the world's best chefs.
Opening the programme is the Korean movie Final Recipe by Gina Kim with a meal prepared by Daniel Achilles from Berlin’s Reinstoff restaurant. Meals will be served after each screening at the “Gropius Mirror” restaurant, described as an elegant tent lined with mirrors.
The Roca Brother's El Somni The Dream documentary, which documents the brothers' work to create a culinary opera, will also be shown following a meal prepared by Josep, Joan and Jordi Roca.
Other films include Zone Pro Site: The Moveable Feast, A Tale of Samurai Cooking - A True Love Story and Natural Resistance.
