For Thomas Keller opening restaurants is second nature. But the creator of the award-winning The French Laundy and Per Se has his eyes set on a new frontier: retail.
The San Francisco Chronicle's Inside Scoop reports Keller has just opened Finesse, The Store, a 450-foot retail store in Yountville, California. The shop sells its share of Keller's cookbooks, aprons, kitchen tools and the Cup4Cup gluten-free products he helped create. But what else can a foodie find at this chef-themed shop?
For starters, the shop sells seeds from The French Laundry garden and Moleskins stamped with logos from Keller's restaurants. You'll also find a set of gourmet tasting salts for $150, silver commemorative clothespins, Keller-issued employee stainless steel water bottles and a Thomas Keller Limited Edtion MAC Knife set for $900.
Finesse, The store is open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. from Thursday through Sunday.
