The creator of the cronut Dominique Ansel has been receiving some major publicity since he combined the croissant with the doughnut and with lines still forming outside his new york bakery at 5am and 350 cronuts sold every day they're still the hottest dessert of the year. Since they came out and since not everyone can afford to travel to New York to sample the real thing, cronut recipes have been appearing all over the web but now, and for the first time ever, a video of Ansel himself making cronuts on the Late Night with Jimmy Fallon show has been posted online.
The French pastry chef shows how him and his team make the cronuts, how they're literally laced with a huge block of butter and how they actually take three days to make the perfect batch.
