Gene Simmons and Pete Stanley, co-founders of the KISS, are set on capturing the palates of fans around the world with their Rock & Brew franchise.
The legendary rockers plan on opening 100 Rock & Brew joints as part of a rapid five-year expansion, according to The Hollywood Reporter. It's a pretty ambitious goal given there are only three exisitng Rock & Brew restaurants, two in the Los Angeles area and one in Los Cabos, Mexico.
Stanley told THR he's excited about the expansion. ''We are spreading our tentacles! It's a family friendly place where you don't have to compromise your palate. Most of the time when you bring your kids to a restaurant, you are eating cardboard pizza or dried out macaroni and cheese. This is really your place where you can hang out, choose from one of our 80 craft beers, hear quality rock music and have a great night with your friends.''
Rock & Brew locations set to open this summer include a restaurant at LAX, Maui and Kansas City. The restaurant offers hand-crafted burgers and items like Giant Soft German Pretzel, Tequila Sunrise Steak Salad and Purple Rain Chocolate Drops.
Simmons and Stanley are just one of many musicians opening starting their own franchises. Last year, country music band Rascal Flatts announced it was opening a slew of restaurants throughout the United States in 2013.
