Chef David Chang from the Momofuku Ssam Noodle Bars in America has taken a special visit to NASA's Space Food Systems Laboratory in Houston.
The Korean-American chef was joined by Traci Des Jardins from Jardiniere where the pair proceeded to try a range of space foods such as tofu with mustard sauce and coffee - all of which they seem to have found fairly disgusting.
The space agency's interest in food is on the rise - we brought you the news last year that NASA was conducting research into the possibility of building space farms and they also recently developed a new vegan space menu.
For more out of orbit fine dining meals, the Italian chef Davide Scabin was recruited to produce a range of space food for a job overseen by The European Space Agency. The Italian chef was asked to provide five dishes but cooked over 30 for his research, including risotto with porcini mushrooms, lasagna and a classic eggplant parmesan.
However from the videos below it seems that not all space food has been developed by world renowned Michelin starred chefs.
