Nestled between Swiss lakes and mountains the 2013 S. Pellegrino Sapori Ticino is a treat for the senses. The culinary extravaganza began on April 7th and runs until May 12th. During this time in the Swiss canton of Ticino, talented European chefs will host seven elegant dinners, two special lunches and three entertaining lounge evenings.
Themed Berlin in Ticino, this year's event puts seven renowned chefs from the best hotels and restaurants in Berlin in the spotlight. Together with local talented chefs, they will create dishes that blend local ingredients with German traditions. Participating chefs from Berlin are Christian Lohse, Philip Jay Meisel, Michael Kempf, Hendrik Otto, Matthias Diether, Sonja Fruhsammer and Marco Muller.
So far, the month-long event has gone off without a hitch. The upcoming lounge nights, which offer a tapas buffet and drinks, promise to be entertaning. The first one debuts tomorrow, April 25th, at the hip club WKND in Lugano.
The two other lounge nights will be held at Delta Beach Lounge Ascona near Lake Maggore on May 2nd and Lido Bar, which is between the lake and the Swiss mountains in Lugano on May 9th.
The 2013 S.Pellegrino Sapori Ticino will culminate on May 12th with a special dinner prepared at the Grand Hotel Eden in Lugano. Participating chefs of that evening will be Ivo Adam, Andrea Bertarini, Marco Ghioldi, Egidio Iadonisi, Antonio Fallini, René Nagy and Dario Ranza.
