Ever since they announced the publishing of their massive book back in January, the world has waited for the official El Celler De Can Roca book to make its appearance. Finally, the wait is over.
The Roca Brothers launched their cookbook in Spain this week. The book, which details the 25-year history of their family restaurant, has almost 500 pages and weighs a whopping 6.6 pounds (3 kilos). It is divided into 16 chapters containing 90 detailed recipes and 245 photographs of the restaurant's signature dishes.
On Twitter, the brothers have described their book as a ''phsyical, durable, descriptive chronicle of avant-garde cuisine of the 20th and 21th centuries.'' They refer to those 25 years at El Celler de Can Roca as the ''best years of their lives.'' Here's a picture of the book they posted on the restaurant's Twitter:
Without a doubt, the book contains the secrets that have made brothers Joan, Josep and Jordi famous. Together, they've catapulted El Celler de Can Roca to stardom. The restaurant has three Michelin stars and ranks second on the World's 50 Best Restaurants list, which is sponsored by S.Pellegrino and Acqua Panna.
The book, already available in Catalan, will be available in Spanish on April 20th and English on April 25th. It's avaiable for pre-order on the restaurant's website. It costs 89 euros, about $116.
