You might think you do a good job buttering your toast in the morning? Nimbly spreading the creamy goodness right up to the edges of the bread. You may even think the way you place the cheese shows off a certain artistic flair. The way you cut the finished slice, a certain geometric attractiveness... if any of this is remotely true then you need to have a word, reassess your sloppy excuse for toast art and take a look at the work of this artist.
Ida Skivenes, from Norway, creates her very own renditions of famous pieces of art from famous painters and recreates them on toast. The edible artworks are then photographed, filtered in Instagram and shared with Ida's online fans.
From The Scream by Edvard Munch to a piece by Andrew Wyeth created using cheese, figs, strawberries and blueberries.
Ida describes herself as an Instagram food artist and enthusiast and her blog acts to explain some background to the images she creates. She also says that she does actually eat all here creations, we're glad to know.
