The organic rosé produced at Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's French estate made its grand debut today. Cases of the Miraval Rosé 2012 went on sale over the internet for $149 a piece, according to Reuters.
The wine was produced in collaboration with the world-renown Perrin family at the Hollywood couple's 1235-acre estate in Provence. It was made from made from grenache, syrah and cinsault grapes.
Pitt and Jolie have both been hands-on in the production of the wine and E! reports that Pitt is currently in France for the wine's retail debut. The couple will put 150,000 of rosé on the market and launch a white wine in summer. That will be followed by the launch of their red wine next year.
So far, their rosé has received good reviews for its ''dynamism'' and ''expressive fruit.''
''With this 2012 rosé, Miraval reveals the extraordinary potential of wines from Provence. This unique terroir naturally expresses itself in the aromatic wine with a round mouthfeel that is full of freshness,'' the Perrin family said in a statement.
