Would you love to enjoy afternoon tea with Jimmy Choo? You can come close to it at The Landmark Mandarin Oriental hotel in Hong Kong. The hotel has designed a tea service for fashionistas which features finger foods that mimic Choo's luxury bags and shoes.
Dubbed the ''fashion tea'', the service will include small bites inspired by Choo's 2013 spring/summer fashion collection, which will highlight ''haute gypsy glamour'' of the 60s and 70s, according to a press release. The fashion tea will be offered from April 2nd to May 5th.
''We have crafted edible miniatrue high heels and also took inspiration from the colours of the handbags and clutches, and have created some of the most fashionable-looking and delectable savoury and sweet items to convery their style,'' said executive chef Sidney Schutte.
Guests can expect treats like foie gras high heels on crispy brioche, smoked salmon cucumber sandwiches styled after Choo's CAYLA clutch, a white chocolate bag filled with lychee and a yuzu mousse shooter.
Fashion tea will be offered on Monday through Friday for HKD260 per person, about $35. It will feature a three-tier tea seat, a cake buffet and choice of JING tea or coffee. The Saturday and Sunday fashion tea costs HKD280, about $36, and also includes a weekend dessert buffet, as well as the regular weekday offerings.
As a bonus, all guests will received a special gift set from Jimmy Choo.
Editor's Note: The hotel is also home to Amber, a two-Michelin starred restaurant considered one of Asia's best and a possible contender in the upcoming Asia's 50 Best Restaurants List, which is sponsored by S. Pellegrino and Acqua Panna.
