Is there anything Brangelina can't do? Hollywood's most envied couple has launched their very own wine in collaboration with France's famed Perrin family.
The Perrins own Chateau Beaucastel in Rhone Valley and began collaborating with Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie during the 2012 harvest season. The new wine is being produced at Chateau Miraval, the couple's 1235-acre Provence estate which they reportedly bought for $60 million.
Chateau Miraval sits on a valley with 148 acres of old vines at an altiture of 1148 feet, according to Decanter. The estate currently produces a cabernet sauvignon-syrah blend and a white wine made from Rolle grapes.
The estate also produces a Pink Floyd rosé, named in honor of the band who recorded their album The Wall at the estate. Marc Perrin told Decanter the focus now will be more about Miraval itself than any specific cuvée.
The actors ''want to ensure they are making the best Provence wines they can. They were present at the blending sessions this year, and are relooking at everything from the installations in the winery - where we have already switched to stainless steel tanks - to reworking the labels across the range of wines,'' Perrin said.
You can expect to find the first batch of Perrin-crafted rosé on the shelves next month. White wines from Chateau Miraval are expected to debut this summer.
The Jolie-Pitts join the ranks of Hollywood winemaking elite, which includes actors Richard Gere and Drew Barrymore.
