It may be hard to believe but Ferran Adria assures he doesn't miss the restaurant that made him a famous chef. Although he spent nearly three decades at elBulli, during which he won three Michelin stars and was voted the world's best chef five times, he now enjoys a different type of adrenaline rush.
''Even if it's hard to understand, I am cooking now, I am at elBulli. I get that adrenaline rush from being at a restaurant from other things now,'' the chef told Spanish news agency EFE.
Since closing elBulli last year, the chef has kept very busy with other projects. He's traveled the world giving lectures on creativity and presenting the BulliPedia, an online gastronomic encyclopedia he hopes will be up and running by 2014. He's also auctioning elBulli's wine cellar in order to raise funds for The elBulli Foundation.
