The Michelin guide star winners for Germany 2013 have been announced and the country has picked up no less than 37 new stars.
A whopping 10 Restaurants in Germany now have a three star rating - placing the country second only to France in europe for the number of three star venues it holds.
The country already had nine but the announcement that La Belle Epoque will receive it's third star in the new guide secures Germany's place at the top of the Michelin tree.
Seven restaurants were awarded a new two star rating and 29 restaurants received new 1 star ratings.
The results of the 2013 guide show that Germany continues to build and strengthen it's culinary identity throughout the world.
