In the next future, no matter where you are in the world, if you'll see an elegant butterfly with wine-wings on a bottle label, you’ll know that you'll be drinking an excellent Tuscan wine.
Yesterday, in fact, Florence and other places worldwide (Hong Kong, New York, London, Moscow, Japan) presented what will become the new distinctive symbol of everything Tuscan, starting with wine: the butterfly will reinforce and characterize well-known as well as less-known (but still high standard) Tuscan wine labels around the world.
The seal will certify the product's origin in Tuscany, reminding us once again how tight is the connection between Italy's most sought after region and wine. It illustrates the excellence of the land and the hands that have been working it and molding its landscape for centuries.
A brand that takes its source in the visual arts with the aim to make every single Tuscan wine highly recognizable and distinctive, the product of a region known and famous worldwide for the Arts, its history, the landscape, the food and, of course, the wine.
In 2011, exportation of Tuscan DOP (Protected Designation of Origin) wines got the best results ever, Usa being the first market followed by Germany, Canada, United Kingdom and Switzerland, just to name a few.
