The food design and chef team Blanch and Shock are set to launch their own pop up restaurant from the 6th of August for one month. Following on from a London trend that seems well set by chefs like Simon Rogan at Roganic, Stevie Parle at The Dock Kitchen and The Young Turks at The Ten Bells Pub - the team will work on running a fully functioning restaurant in London.
This is the first time the group, made up of Mike Knowlden and Josh Pollen, have cooked within a static location for four years. Their previous time has been spent in tents, offices, fields and warehouses as they spread their wondrous creations around.
Famous for exploding cakes and working with hay ice cream the guys will serve up small plates for lunch with a tasting menu and collaborations with some guest chefs and producers.
The pop up will be housed in The Endurance Pub in Berwick Street Soho. The team said it will be a very new concept for them and that they will be offering diners a choice of what to eat for the very first time.
They promise wild food, local ingredients and some great sustainable fish and with the teams previous creations and repertoire it's sure to be a blast - maybe even literally.
