The theme for The World Chocolate Masters competition has been announced. The Architecture of Taste will set the style of the 2013 event which sees chocolatiers from all over the world compete for the chocolate master title.
Contestants have to produce six innovate creations that match the chosen theme – the event is every two years and the 2011 winner was James Haasnoot from the Netherlands.
The World Chocolate Masters was born in 2005, after the merger of "Le Grand Prix International de la Chocolaterie" organised by Cacao Barry, and the "International Belgium Chocolate Award" organised by Callebaut. It is the only international event of its kind to focus solely on the art of chocolate and sees some of the world’s best compete, creating wonderful chocolate art under the pressure of the cameras.
