Today marks the beginning of Memorial Day weekend in America, a holiday which celebrates the unofficial start of the summer season. It's the weekend in which people across the U.S. dust off their BBQs, grab a cut cut of beef and start grilling - why? Because summer is near and there's no better way to cook meat in this heat than to barbecue.
Even the White House will get involved with Michelle Obama and TV cooking host Rachael Ray hosting a special barbecue together on the 31st of May to celebrate the launch of the First Lady's new cookbook, American Grown: The Story of the White House Kitchen Garden and Gardens Across America. The book will be released in few days, on the 29th of May, but is available for pre order.
With fires being lit across the country, steak being prepped and marinades at the ready - we decided to bring you a round up of our grill and barbecue tips and tricks. From the golden rules every BBQ should follow to must have BBQ cookbooks and of course recipes to try this summer.
Have a great weekend and enjoy your BBQ's:
