Hollywood hunk Richard Gere has been stealing ladies' hearts since Pretty Woman and now will be debuting his own line of Tuscan wine. The actor will lend his name to an exclusive brand of Brunello produced by Tenuta San Filippo di Montalcino.
The initial batch of the famous Tuscan red will be a 2007 vintage sold under the label Bedford Post, the same name of his Relais & Chateaux property in New York. Richard's pick for his Bedfort Post label from the winemaker's Le Lucere line, which was rated 92/100 by Robert Parker's Wine Advocate.
But the movie star is hardly the first Hollywood actor to lend his name to an Italian winemaker. Last month, Hollywood sweetheart Drew Barrymore announced the release of her first wine, a pinot grigio from the Triveneto region of Italy.
