Wolfgang Puck picks up lifetime achievement award as the finalists for the 2012 James Beard Foundation Awards (JBF) are announced.
The finalists for JBF Awards and were announced last night at the The Venetian and The Palazzo in Las Vegas - meaning the world now knows who is in the running to pick up the much coveted JBF award when the finals take place this year on the 7th May at the Avery Fisher Hall in New York.
The Restaurateur Wolgang Puck, who owns 20 restaurants around the world, picked up the lifetime achievement award for having a 'positive and long-lasting impact on the way people eat, cook, and/or think about food in America.'
With award selections for a huge mix of categories from best food publications, blogs, best chefs, best restaurant design and many more, the list of nominees is one of the largest award selectons we've ever seen.
The outstanding chef finalists come from a real mix of flavours representing the diversity of the American foodscape.
