Great Pubs of England sees photographer Horst A. Friedrichs and journalist Stuart Husband cover the length and breadth of the country to find England’s most idiosyncratic public houses, some of which have been at the center of communities for centuries. The pair document over 30 of the most interesting in the book, a “virtual pub crawl”, from spit-and-sawdust to Michelin-starred gastropubs, alongside famous owners such as chef Tom Kerridge and singer James Blunt.
