The 7th edition of Parabere Forum will be held on 26 September 2021 in a virtual event starring thought-leaders in the field of food, Zoomed live from Paris at 13:00h.
The annual global summit, organised by journalist/author Maria Canabal, gathers top opinion leaders - including food activists, international scientists, farmers, chefs and sommeliers - to explore global topics affecting the industry and empower women.
Instead of taking to the stage in its usual format, this year's forum, in partnership with S.Pellegrino Young Chef Academy, will take place online, and will explore the theme of 'community'. Discussions will be led by events director, Joanna Savill, chef Narda Lepes and baker Apollonia Poilâne, during which they will speak to women who have done extraordinary things for their community at a time when community has never mattered more.
Past live events have featured guests like Alice Waters, Anne-Sophie Pic, Lara Gilmore from Osteria Francescana and Food For Soul and Danish chef René Redzepi.

Talk One
Joanna Savill (Sydney)
Editor, events manager and all-round Parabere supporter Joanna Savill from Sydney will chat with Palisa Anderson, a second-generation Australian restaurateur (Chat Thai, Boon Cafe) and farmer, on the place where producer and restaurant communities collide.
Talk Two
Narda Lepes (Buenos Aires)
Chef and food activist Narda Lepes, named Latin America’s Best Female Chef in 2020, will join the conversation live from Buenos Aires, engaging in more conversations designed to uncover what industry leaders have learnt during this past year.
Talk Three
Apollonia Poilâne (Paris)
Cookbook author, baker and the global business owner of Maison Poilâne, Apollonia Poilâne will join the debate live from Paris, exploring the theme of the community as she talks to other female thought leaders.
The event will also serve as the launch of the new Parabere cookbook, 'ENCORE - Inspiring ways with leftovers, from 100 thoughtful cooks' a collection of thoughts recipes and ideas from Parabere women.
For each copy sold, 5 euros will go to the Parabere Grant, helping to fund their aim to make the forum accessible to those who, for financial reasons, are unable to attend.
