Diversity is key to a more equitable industry and a truer representation of the workers in it, and it starts with having diversity in the decision-making positions. For too long, a certain European aesthetic and perspective has dominated American food and Black Food Folks is determined to see that change, to help develop a new way of seeing all the cultural influences in US hospitality, and to raise them up to their rightful place at the table.
