Young chefs brave enough to face the scrutiny of the famously hot-tempered chef Gordon Ramsay will be able to train under him for a career in the hospitality industry.
Although broadly known as a TV personality, Ramsay holds seven Michelin stars across his restaurants, and undoubtedly has a wealth of experience and skill to share with aspiring chefs.
The Gordon Ramsay Academy will open at the beaning of 2021 in Woking, Surrey in the UK.
A source told The Sun: “Gordon is super-excited about the new academy. Giving space and opportunity to the next generation of British chefs is something he is passionate about. He can’t wait to hopefully see those same chefs in his own restaurants in the future.
“It will be an industry-leading facility, to give people of all ages and cooking abilities the chance to have relaxed and fun cookery classes. It will also support people looking to get into the hospitality industry, by giving them somewhere to hone their skills."
A stint in the Gordon Ramsay Academy will do more than provide students with a grounding in gastronomy, but the course will include practical experience and a job.
“Students will also get work experience in Gordon’s portfolio of restaurants and there will be a guaranteed job at the end of it. It’s a really great idea,” said the source.
