Milan is to host a brand new version of the Taste Dining Festival, which will take place from 16th June until 31st of July.
The festival’s organisers have designed a new format for the gastronomy festival that will encourage people to enjoy the very best of the city’s restaurant scene at home. With over 20 participating restaurants, Taste of Milan offers specially designed, fixed-price menus, delivered by a special fleet of uniformed drivers for people to enjoy in the comfort and safety of their own homes.
The restaurants will provide online video instructions for plating and wine pairings, as well as special playlists to help bring the restaurant experience into the home.
The festival aims to help restart the restaurant industry in the city, and will leverage the success of Taste festivals to reach those craving the fine-dining experience this summer.
"We have thought for a long time about how we can offer everyone the opportunity to experience our events with the current situation, and at the same time be supportive to our restaurant friends, and we thought about this initiative. We hope that many will like to try the menus at home and be part of this festival. Together we can really make a difference and continue to enjoy the good food of some fantastic restaurants even at home,” said Mauro Dorigo, GM of festival’s organisers Beit Events.
