A Chef's Voyage - Somm TV
Watch Chef David Kinch and his team as they leave their Manresa restaurant in Los Gatos and travel overseas to France to cook collaborative "four hands" dinners with some legendary French chefs at their iconic Michelin-starred restaurants including: Le Taillevent, L’Oustau de Baumanière and Le Petit Nice.

Hyper Hardboiled Gourmet Report - Netflix
Going for the shock factor - try this Japanese documentary which offers up some serious ethical questions following "people around the world in precarious and dangerous circumstances" where "eating itself is dangerous." From what drug addicts and feuding street gangs eat in LA to a cookery demonstration based on aid supplies illegally sold on the black market in Liberia. This is food viewing through a lens like no other.
A Tale of Two Kitchens - Netflix
An inspiring documentary featuring two restaurants, Cala in San Francisco and Contramar in Mexico City, both owned and operated by Gabriela Cámara, an acclaimed Mexican chef highlighting how restaurants can become second homes for the people who work in them.
Big Night - Netflix
For a lazy Sunday afternoon tuck into this 1996 classic food movie which follows two Italian brothers struggling with a failing restaurant. While there's plenty about food and Italian cuisine it's also a deeper cultural reflection on identity crises that immigrants might encounter upon their arrival in the new homeland.
Cooked with Cannabis - Netflix
Kellis’ new cooking show shakes things up as chefs arrive in the studio to create three-course meals with cannabis as the active ingredient. There are six episodes to get through - easily do-able in one weekend!
Food on the go - Netflix
A fascinating Argentinian documentary looking at the link between food and identity how Italian immigrants to America and Argentina influenced the local food culture by opening restaurants and fruit and veg stalls where the likes of spaghetti with meatballs and standardised carbonara recipes soon followed.
Barbecue - Netflix
Can't wait to fire up the grill this summer, then let this documentary get the creative juices flowing! Director Matthew Salleh travelled to 12 different countries for this documentary to examinee the simple ritual of cooking meat over the flame and its function in our culture. From braai from the black townships of South Africa to Sweden’s portable engangsgrill and split-roasted lechon from the Philippines; this is as in-depth as you can go on cooking over flames.
