Mauro Colagreco, whose Mirazur was crowned first on The World’s 50 Best Restaurants list 2019 is to oversee three restaurants in Dubai.
Being named the world’s best chef inevitably initiates a clamour for your services as restaurants and hotel groups look to bask in the aura effect of having an international superstar chef on their books.
Now Dubai, already home to Massimo Bottura’s only restaurant outside of Italy Torno Subito on Palm Jumeirah, will be able to offer locals and visitors meals inspired by and designed by Mauro Colagreco.
The three restaurants to get the Colagreco treatment are at One&Only Royal Mirage; fine dining restaurant Celebrities, The Beach Bar & Grill, which overlooks Palm Island bay and Esplanade, at the Grand Pool.
Colagreco will take the reins at the three restaurants from November this year and will introduce new menus and concepts based on his diverse heritage and his culinary excellence.
“I am very excited to be embarking on a new relationship with One&Only Royal Mirage. I am honoured to bring my culinary creativity to a resort which is recognised as one of the most exceptional, service-led properties in the world,” commented chef Colagreco on the partnership.
Dubai continues to attract the top talent from the culinary world with lucrative packages. The likes of Ducasse, Ramsay and Bottura have restaurants there and the fine dining scene looks set to grow. There is currently no Michelin Guide for the UAE, but with so much talent packed in, it surely is only a matter of time before the French Tyre company launches a version of the famed red book for the region.
