Terra Madre Salone del Gusto 2018 Returns with over 350 Events
From 20 to 24 September the streets of Turin will be thronged with food lovers discovering a spread of Slow Food conferences, workshops, tastings and markets.
Terra Madre Salone del Gusto returns to Turin from 20 to 24 September, the flagship Slow Food biennial event that concentrates on the culture and ethics of food.
Now in its twelfth edition, the international event- divided between the pavilions of Lingotto Fiere and other locations - spreads across the Piedmontese capital for five days with over 350 initiatives taking place, from events and workshops to conferences and meetings.
Under the 2018 motto "Food for change" Lingotto will be devoted to alternate thematic areas including fish, meat, bees, and other insects, seeds as well as health, with space also laid on for teaching and conferences to international delegates.
This year sees the likes of Alice Waters take to the stage as well as a series of high profile guest chefs like Ana Roš and Paolo Casagrande from 3 Michelin starred Lasarte in Barcelona.
140 countries from all over the world will be represented in Turin, including about a thousand exhibitors from the length and breadth of Italy.
Admission is 5 euros online before the event and 10 euros at the gate.
