If you're all about exploring world cuisine, here's a new award-winning documentary that will take you into the diverse culinary offerings and kitchens of Israel, all through the magic of the big screen.
Called "In Search of Israeli Cuisine" the mouthwatering culinary exploration takes viewers on a journey into the unique culinary tradition of blended cultural influences of Israeli cuisine led by the affable chef Michael Solomonov. He's a fitting choice for the film's chef/guide given his heritage and hugely popular Zahav restaurant serving us some of the best Israeli cuisine in the US.
At just over 90 minutes long the feature-length documentary disappears into home kitchens and "puts a face on the culture of Israel, profiling chefs, home cooks, vintners, and cheese-makers drawn from the more than one hundred cultures that make up Israel today," according to the filmmakers.
The film is screening in cities all over the USA until November. There will also be European showings in the future, though dates are yet to be announced. For the full listing of US venues click here.
