David Chang’s new LA restaurant Majordomo, his first in the city, opened Tuesday night.
Housed in an old warehouse space in LA’s Chinatown, Majordomo made our list of the hottest new restaurant openings of 2018. Gone are iconic Momofuku dishes such as ramen and pork buns; instead diners can expect plenty of sharing plates, smoked meats and a whole section of the menu dedicated to local produce, under the heading ‘Market.’
Dishes include boneless chuck short rib, whole grilled rockfish, tapioca lo mein and fried butterball potatoes. See the menu here.
Reservations for the first month are already gone, but take a look at the social media posts below to get an idea of what to expect.
And further down, watch a teaser for Chang's new Netflix show Ugly Delicious, which premieres 23 February. It sees the chef travelling the world to discuss the joys of comfort food with other chefs, writers, artists and entertainers at their favourite eateries.
