San Francisco master pizza maker Tony Gemignani has come up with the perfect edible treat to celebrate the upcoming Super Bowl 50 to be hosted in the Bay area: a Super Gold Pizza that sells for $100.
What’s on the Super Gold Pizza?
Aside from edible gold flakes, the wood-fired pie features white truffles, 24-month aged San Daniele prosciutto, a dusting of mâche, thee types of mushrooms from Far West Fungi (clamshell, lion’s mane, and yellow oyster), fromage blanc and carmody cheese from Bellwether Farms, and grande whole milk mozzarella, finished with Maldon salt, on multi-grain dough. Sounds delicious!

The Super Gold Pizza is available at Tony’s Pizza Neapoletana in the heart of San Francisco’s Little Italy. Only 50 pizzas will be made with proceeds going to local charities. If you want to try the pizza you better hurry, as it’s only available until February 7th.
