Benjamin Hubert is turning the world of wine upside down. The UK-based studio has designed a hip wine breather carafe that not only aerates vino but also doubles as a glass holder.
Dramatic yet highly functional, the carafe is outfitted with a stainless steel aerator and an injection-moulded silicon seal. This provides eight times the surface area of a regular pour, which drastically changes the flavor profile of wine. It also comes with two glasses which you can stack on the bottle when not in use.
The modern wine breather carafe was created for Dutch design brand Menu, which specializes in wine accessories. The team at Benjamin Hubert experimented with over 20 prototypes before settling on the wine breather carafe pictured here.
The carafe made its world debut at the Maison & Objet in Paris earlier this month and it's only a matter of time before it goes on sale.
