When it comes to sushi, we've seen our fair share of offbeat inventions. From the sushi bazooka to sushi perfume we thought we'd seen it tall. That is until we stumbled upon the ultimate sushi plate.
The brainchild of Mexican designer Jorge Trevino Blanco, the Valencia plate is a stylish vessel for sushi. The sleek bright green rectangular plate sits elevated off the table to let sushi bask in the spotlight.
The ultimate sushi plate also features small compartments for soy sauce and storing chopsticks. When purchased as a set of three the plates also form a sculptural table decoration.
So far, the sushi plate is in its conceptual stages but it's been exhibited at the 5th Biennial of Design in Santiago, Chile.
This is an invention that we'd sure like to come to fruition. Would you buy this ultimate sushi plate?
