Is there are time in the near future when kitchen technologies mean we no longer have a mere cooker but instead have self-cleaining transportable cooking units? If so then that unit wukk most probably be called, Qumi, a fold out universal kitchen set that can be used for heating, frying and steaming a wide variety of food - even for cookings soups and sauces.
The concept features no display or control panel, and all instructions are supposed to be processed via mobile devices. The idea is that the plate shaped disc heats up with the globe on top containing foods.
Qumi takes up little space (no more than a dinner plate) and is designed to be hung on an induction charging hook, making it wireless and portable.
The idea is from Russian designer, Ilia Vostro, and made it to the semi-finals of the Electrolux concept design competition.
