It's a boozy tale that even the creators of the Hangover couldn't have made up: a 16-year old teenage boy spends a wild night on the town, charges a $54,000 bar bill to his dad's credit card but doesn't have to pay it all back. Say what?!
The teen's extravagant partying took place in Kyoto where and a friend hit up swanky clubs to spend time with ''attractive women'' and indulge in champagne and whisky bottles that cost almost $4,000 a pop, Examiner reports. The teen charged it all to his father's platinum American Express card.
The incident took place back in 2010 but it wasn't until now that a judge ruled on the case. We should note Japan's legal drinking age is 20.
''Kyoto District Court ruled last week that the bar owners and the credit card company bore the lion's share of reponsibility for the misuse of the card,'' Examiner reported. The court ordered the father to pay only $7,814.
There's no word yet on whether the father punished the teen. We're willing to bet he'll never pull that stunt again...or will he? Tell us what you think in the comments below.
