Star Trek fans this one is for you: a California bakery has made an edible version of the Starship Enterprise using gingerbread. The starship is an exact replica of the NCC-1701 U.S.S. Enterprise built from discs of gingerbread and decorated with a plethora of candy and strategically placed icing.
No detail was spared. Below you'll see how a laser beam made of peppermint sticks suspends the Starship Enterprise in the atmosphere while candy canes and marshmallows create an icy landscape below.
Trekkies can thank the talented team at Black Market Bakery in Costa Mesa for their incredible homage to Star Trek. The Starship Enterprise is currently on display at the shop. No word yet on whether those lucky enough to eat it will live long and prosper.
