Trip Advisor have compiled a list of the top 10 restaurants in Japan and it’s the informal Otsuku restaurant in the Arashiyama neighbourhood of Kyoto that comes out on top.
The small place is famous for serving all kinds of different beef dishes with reasonably proved plates and specials of Wagyu and Murasawa steaks.
The place is small so either get there early or expect a wait, but from the reviews it’s receiving online it certainly seems like it’s worth it.
As you can see from the images below, the steak is wonderfully marbled with slithers of fat, meaning it’s wonderfully juicy and tender when it’s cooked.
