We're always on the look out for the best performing chef's knives - from the sharpest to the most affordable. Next up, we've come across the striking new design Achilles chef knife, billed as "the ultimate ergonomic kitchen experience."
Launched on crowdfunding website Kickstarter, it's the new chef knife from German company Sternsteiger crafted from a single piece of stainless steel with an ergonomically shaped grip handle.
The makers describe it as a "uniquely designed handle that fits perfectly into the hand and provides the best possible grip, even if you hands, or the knife itself are wet."
And if you're wondering what design feature the hole adds - “The hole sits at the knives' point of balance and allows you to put a finger into it for optimal pressure distribution while cutting.”
The future retail price is 249 euros ($308), but for now you can pick one up for 107 ($132) euros while the campaign lasts. Delivery is due in september.
If you like this, there's also a smaller paring knife and a serrated bread knife to complete the set.
