News - 29 Michelin Stars for Singapore
The first ever Michelin guide for Singapore has now been released with the big news being that chef Joël Robuchon picked up massive five stars on the night.
Robuchon, who boasts more Michelin stars than any other chef, was the only person to receive the highest accolade of three Michelin stars for his Joël Robuchon Restaurant. The chef picked up a further two stars for his L'Atelier de Joël Robuchon.
The two star category featured six restaurants in total, including: Restaurant André - which many predicted as the clear three-star contender; Odette, which opened just one year ago: and clear Singapore favourite, Les Amis.
There were 22 restaurants in total the one star category, including: Jaan, Waku Ghin and Beni who all received their first Michelin accolade. Stepping away from the usual shine people have come to expect from Michelin establishments, two hawker stalls received one star: Hong Kong Soya Sauce Chicken Rice and Noodle and Hill Street Tai Hwa Pork Noodle.
