Angela Dimayuga is the executive chef at Danny Bowien’s Mission Chinese Food restaurant in New York - the place that’s recently reopened, you know, the one with the queues.
The film below, created by director Drew Reilly, spends a day with Dimayuga a she buys, preps and cooks ingredients for the restaurant.
Dimayuga introduces the new restaurant and speaks about her love for the location, while explaining the style of ‘unpretentious dining’ that the restaurant has become known for.
She says that the word ‘crave-able’ is used a lot at the restaurant and is something the chef strives for inside her food.
You can watch her cooking as she knocks up plates throughout the interview.
