Chef and Food waster guru Massimo Bottura has teamed up with German consumer electronics manufacturer Grundig on a series of seven videos to highlight the importance of reducing food waste at home.
Today is International Day of Awareness of Food Loss and Waste, an awareness campaign established by FAO - the UN’s Food and Agriculture Organization. To mark the occasion, Grundig has released their video animation series to call for the reduction of food waste at home and to provide tips and advice on how to turn leftover food into delicious meals.
Masimo Bottura, a brand ambassador for Grundig since 2018, is a major voice calling for the reduction of food waste, in order to create a more efficient food system the reduce greenhouse gas emissions that accelerate climate change.
There are many contributors to the climate emergency, but the use of water, energy and carbon emissions all associated with the millions of tonnes of food that never get consumed is something we have the power to do something about. What is more, reducing food waste at home is not difficult, it is easy and fun and gives us delicious meals, while saving money.
