Chefs have great inside stories, the best ones, the ones that most people outside of the industry would never believe.
Every so often they reveal their stories and all of us get a glimpse of what actually happens inside the kitchen.
Tales like this are normally saved for the tell-all book, but every now again they let them out early.
Just as Mario Batali does in this video produced Serious Eats. Batali, now a world famous chef, recounts the first time he met Marco Pierre White.
Batali was working under White at the time and it seems the pair had quite the disagreement about risotto and how it should be cooked.
It culminates in White throwing a plate at Batali and Batali retaliating by salting all of the main sauces in the kitchen before he walked out of the door. The video is from way back in 2007 but the story is something we think any kitchen worker will relate to.
