Chef Marco Pierre White has announced plans to open a restaurant at Birmingham airport.
The restaurant, which will sit inside the Holiday Inn hotel, will be a Marco's New York Italian like the chef’s restaurant in Oxford.
With 120 covers the restaurant will serve a range of pasta, steaks, seafood, burgers and handmade pizzas.
It’s a much needed airport food upgrade as Birmingham takes the same route as many airpots around the world in seeking the help of a well known chef. Nice airport recently hooked up Mauro Colagreco and both Heston Blumenthal and Gordon Ramsay have a restaurant inside Heathrow.
