A doctor from England who successfully polished off a plate of the world's hottest curry says it was so spicy he began to hallucinate.
Ian Rothwell took on the challenge to eat The Widower curry at the Bindi restaurant in Lincolnshire - a dish that contains 20 Naga Chillies, one of the hottest varieties in the world.
The dish is so spicy that chefs preparing the curry wear face masks and goggles. Speaking about the endeavor to the Daily Mail, Rothwell said: "'I like hot curries and have at least one a week, but this was off the scale. It took me about an hour to eat it and I had to stop half way through and go out for a walk and some fresh air."
It's during this walk that the restaurant owner and Rothwell's wife got a little worried and said they found him outside hallucinating.
This is the first time that anyone has managed to finish the curry - the restaurant owner said that around 300 people have tried but most give in after around seven mouthfuls.
