London has new three Michelin star restaurant, The Lecture Room and Library at Sketch.
Upgraded from two stars to three, The Lecture Room and Library is one of just five three-star restaurant in the Michelin Guide to Great Britain and Ireland 2020. Situated an iconic Mayfair dining destination the sumptuous, eccentric restaurant has been open for 16 years. It earned its first star in 2005 and its second star in 2012.
The restaurant was opened by restaurateur Mourad Mazouz and the three Michelin-starred chef Pierre Gagnaire, to provide London with a joyful expression of food, art and music under one roof. The building is steeped in history formerly serving as headquarters of the Royal Institute of British Architects and the London atelier of Christian Dior. The restaurant is not afraid to eschew modern minimalism in favour of extravagant furnishing with an unabashed joie de vivre.
All ‘tasting’ and ‘a la carte’ menus are devised by Pierre Gagnaire, offering a breadth of ingredients and a complexity of combinations and executed by the kitchen under the accomplished expertise of head chef Johannes Nuding.
